Rubinite Complete Walkthrough

Campaign Route at a Glance
Rubinite is a boss-rush campaign paced by Monastery hub days, not an open map. After Roy’s tutorial and Bound Man / Undying practice, you clear The Beast on the Western Frontier, unlock the talent tree, then fight Faye the Guardian at the Capital Bridge. Faye interrupts her own execution and flees — four eyes seal the Capital gate until you defeat four Mana Source bosses (two north, two south).
Recommended loop: clear one Mana Source → return to the Monastery → exhaust new memories, Damaged Talismans, and dialogue → rest at the campfire. Skipping hub returns hides story rooms (Dining Hall, Library, Courtyard, Mirror Room, Abbot’s Office) that unlock gear and lore between fights. After all four Mana Sources, rematch Faye, enter the Capital, fight The Ghost, then Roy the Hunter, then Witch Alcina.
Early Game: Tutorial Through Faye
Tutorial teaches Focus marks (max three), Critical Strike, and perfect-dodge mark banking. After the nightmare awakening, talk to Roy and Wichiwi (Wiwichi) for the Talisman Satchel. Deliver Roy’s soup to the basement Bound Man / Undying for practice, then find Damaged White Talisman for Wichiwi’s shop. Exit west for The Beast — two-swing melee, stone throws, fist smash, and late rock spikes.
After The Beast, unlock Explosive Strike early on the talent tree if available. At the Great Capital Bridge, Faye summons swords, uses delayed two-hit combos, purple grabs, and teleports to twitching swords after 50% HP. She flees instead of dying — Capital door eyes appear. Unlock Darts and Sunder Slash before pushing deeper; both are mandatory tools for red-flash aerials and purple grabs.
Four Mana Sources (North & South)
Roy explains two northern and two southern Mana Sources must fall before the Capital opens. Order is flexible — Plaguebearer (south sewers) is widely called the hardest of the four. South: Gravekeeper at Hallowed Rest, then Plaguebearer in Capital Sewers. North: Dual Cultist (Priest pair) at Ashfrost Hamlet, then Martyred Angel with the lava egg arena.
Between clears, open Dining Hall memories, Library Belfry Key path, Courtyard illusion maze, and Mirror Room mirror order (Yellow → Blue → Green → Green). Meditation rematches unlock after the first Mana Source. See dedicated boss pages for pattern details and embedded clear videos.
Capital, Roy, Alcina, Then True Route
Faye rematch at the Capital gate uses two health bars, six swords, flower explosions, a homing purple orb (Sunder Slash deflect), and red-flash jumps (Focus + Dart). After victory Ruby overslept; Roy’s signature vanishes inside the Capital. Fight Grant the Knight into The Ghost, return for Hatchiwi talisman, then face Roy the Hunter (Focus locked until he tells Ruby to pick up the knife).
Witch Alcina is the apparent ending — scythe delays, sword mark windows, purple orbs, grab hands, black-flame circle phase, and morning-star red-flash. Credits award Maybe the End. Reload the same save, reject the White Space illusion, and continue into True Difficulty for Kingdom Reclaimed — see True Ending Guide. Hardcore / one-hit rules apply on that continuation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to clear Mana Sources in a fixed order?
No. North and south order is flexible. Return to the Monastery after each major clear so memories and rooms unlock.
When do Darts and Sunder Slash unlock?
From the talent / skill tree after early Blood Dust — ideally before or right after first Faye. See Darts & Sunder Slash guide.
Is the first Alcina win the true ending?
No. It awards Maybe the End. Reload that save and reject the White Space illusion for the true route.
How long is the campaign?
Roughly 10–12 hours for a thorough first clear; longer if hunting memories, chests, and Kingdom Reclaimed.
