Capital Walls Encounter
At Capital Walls, Roy has lost himself. On first approach Focus is locked while Ruby calls out; he urges her to pick up the knife and the real fight begins. Two health bars: readable three-hit combo, smoke bombs that disrupt Focus sight, spinning aerial knives, and a charged dual-pillar Strike-style slam.
Phase two keeps the three-hit string and adds ranged daggers. Learn the combo timing once — it carries into Hardcore where the HP bar disappears. Achievement You Dare Use my Own Weapons against me, Ruby? asks you to hit Roy with his own dagger.
True Route — Root, Rescue, Dark Ruby
On the Kingdom Reclaimed path, defeat Red-Eyed Tree and return the root to Mira before this fight. After Roy falls, continue into the internal battle and defeat Dark Ruby so he survives. Skipping the Tree/Mira step commonly repeats the tragic first-route outcome.
