First Body — Limited Focus
Southern Capital Sewers Mana Source. You can only Focus the red segment of the long body; early fight leans on regular attacks while the boss coils off-arena. Coil-center poison bullets can be avoided by stepping inside the coil. Underground shadow passes poison if you stand on them.
Many players rank Plaguebearer as the hardest of the four Mana Sources — budget Talisman and skill purchases before the run.
Split Phase Priority
After the first HP depletes, the boss divides into two with separate bars. Start Focus stacking here. Kill the smaller Plaguebearer first. If you finish the large one while the small still lives, the large splits again and you face three small bodies — a common wipe.
Achievement hunters: Plague it Cool asks you to defeat Plaguebearer while all three segments are active (force the bad split on purpose). Embedded Normal guide and no-damage day-run footage show both learning and mastery pacing.
