Skill Tree at the Cathedral
Rubinite has no traditional RPG level grind — instead Ruby upgrades a skill tree at the Cathedral hub between Blood Recipient fights. The Wand Report (July 24, 2026) confirms the Cathedral (also called the shattered tower hideout in demo footage) lets you purchase extra healing potion charges, unlock skill nodes, and equip Talismans from Wichiwi in one hub loop.
Skill tree progression uses Blood Dust earned from boss attempts. Because half-health payouts persist through death, you can fund skill nodes even on failed runs — same economy that makes Guardian Faye rematches manageable during launch week.
What to Upgrade First
Launch-week priority order for new players: extra potion charge before offensive skill nodes, then Focus-related upgrades if available, then Talisman perk slots at Wichiwi. The Beast and Guardian Faye teach that surviving longer beats raw damage while learning telegraphs — an extra flask often prevents Focus mark resets more reliably than damage Talismans early.
